Evaluation and Feedback

Interns participate in intern competency evaluations twice during the year. Our Competency Assessment Form is based on APA's Competency Benchmarks. Minimal achievement is directly linked with the intern achieving a minimal level of competence as rated by their supervisor on the Competency Assessment Form. Our minimal levels of achievement are:

  • Mid-year: No competency areas will be rated as 0 (inadequate). Any competency area rated as inadequate requires a formal, written remediation plan.
  • No competency areas will be rated as 0 (inadequate). Any competency area rated as inadequate will result in failure to graduate from internship.

In addition, at the end of the year you will be asked to evaluate the internship overall and each of your supervisors.
