Jim Craigie Center for Joint Replacement

The Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission
The Jim Craigie Center for Joint Replacement has received this highly prestigious certification for:
  • Total Hip Replacements
  • Total Knee Replacements

University Medical Center of Princeton (UMCP) was rated high performing in hip replacement and knee replacement as part of U.S. News & World Report’s 2016-2017 Best Hospitals rankings.

The Jim Craigie Center for Joint Replacement was made possible by a gift from Jim Craigie, who had both hips replaced at the former University Medical Center at Princeton (now University Medical Center of Princeton in Plainsboro, N.J.). Mr. Craigie was so pleased with the quality of the care he received—and the improved quality of his life—that he made a gift to establish this extraordinary center.

Don’t let a painful hip or knee slow you down.

Every day you use your hips and knees as you walk, climb stairs and move through your life. So when injuries or common conditions cause these every day movements to become painful, it can stop you from enjoying your life. The good news? Joint replacement surgery can provide a safe and effective remedy—and get you back on your feet faster than you imagined.

You can even invite a family member or friend to play a very special role as your “Coach” as you prepare for surgery and recover from it.
